The €50 million fee whichManchester Unitedpaid forAnthony Martialwill rise by another €10m if he scores 25 goals for United in the next four seasons, another €10m if he accumulates 25 international caps in that time and, finally, another 10 million euros if he wins the Ballon d'Or by 2019, according to reports by 'Le Parisien'. If Martial achieves all of these milestones, his total fee would surpass that of Zidane's move toReal Madridfor 75 million euros in 2001.
"I don't know if I'm worth 80 million euros, but I don't worry about the sums. It's true it's a crazy sum for a player of my age, but I can't change that. It's between the two clubs", remarked Martial, who decided to leave Monaco after losing to Valencia in the Champions League. "Everything is going to be very different from Monaco, in terms of the fans and the atmosphere. I have to adapt."
